American Amusements Ltd is one of the UK's fastest growing and most successful Leisure Company's.

Combining a winning blend of family entertainment facilities and exciting late-bar activities, American Amusement Centres seek to offer a variety of unrivalled indoor entertainment for all.

With a small executive management team, we believe our success depends fore-mostly on the quality of our Centre Management and their teams, without whose efforts, the creation of an experience that customers will wish to return to again and again, would not be possible.

We know good people are hard to find, and helping our Managers and their teams to succeed is always at the forefront of our minds.

The Company also has a number of new ventures in the pipeline for anticipated opening in 2008, and it is our ambition to continue to expand and to maintain American Amusements reputation as a leading force in the UK entertainment industry.

The Big Apple Family Entertainment Centre, Metro Hotel, Chameleon Bar and Quake NightClub - Woking, Surrey

Formed in 2000, American Amusements 1st venture was to acquire the Planets Complex in Woking Town Centre from the local council.

Following a massive refurbishment of the premises the Company re-established the Centre as the Town's foremost entertainment complex with an extensive range of facilities including one of Europe's largest LaserQuest arenas, ten lanes of ten-pin bowling, a children's indoor soft-play area, a gaming and video area featuring over 50 of the latest AWP and video gaming machines, an impressive 9 table pool room, 2 bars and a Café.

This great variety of facilities, all under one roof, is collectively packaged as 'The Big Apple'.

The Complex also offers Chameleon Bar, Woking's premier late-night 'DJ-led' music venue, Quake - a 1000 capacity nightclub, and the Metro Hotel, a 26 room lodge style hotel boasting annual room occupancy of around 90%.

The Big Apple Family Entertainment Centre and Chameleon Bar - Wokingham, Berkshire.

In the late summer of 2003, following the successful development of the Woking Complex, the Company acquired the First Bowl and Eternity nightclub complex in Wokingham, converting the premises to a 'Big-Apple' and Chameleon late-bar.

The Big Apple at Wokingham offers 12 lanes of ten-pin bowling, a 30 player LaserQuest arena, an impressive array of the latest AWP and video machines, a 'bowl-bar' and Café.

The 400 capacity Chameleon late-bar has now become established as Wokingham's top 'DJ-led' late bar venue.

Laserquest - Guildford, Surrey

Part of the Big Apple group, our Guildford venue is a dedicated Laser Quest centre.

In the heart of the city, Laserquest Guildford is very popular for birthday parties, corporate entertainment and team building exercises.

The Big Apple and Chameleon Late bar - Horsham, West Sussex.

In August 2005, the Company acquired the Horsham Superbowl and Shelleys nightclub from Allied Leisure.

Again with 12 lanes of bowling, extensive AWP and video machines, 9 American pool tables, 9 full-size snooker tables, and a 500 capacity Night-Club, the Centre was a perfect fit for the American Amusements Big Apple and Chameleon late-bar brands.

Imminent plans for the Centre include the creation of a 24 player LaserQuest arena. Re-development of the frontage is also planned to incorporate an extensive Children's indoor play area

The Big Apple - Sudbury, Suffolk

This small, intimate Bowl was acquired in October 2005. In November of 2005, the bowl was completely refurbished and extended. It now boasts 10 new lanes of bowling with state of the art scoring, a fresh new bar and café area, and a 20 player LaserQuest arena.

Whilst 2006 was a year of consolidation for the Company, 2007 proved to be another year of active expansion.

The LA Bowl & Balcony Nightclub - Ryde, Isle of Wight

Acquired in March 2007 from Quattro Leisure, the LA bowl boasts 22 lanes of bowling and a bustling bar and café - hugely popular with local residents and tourists a like. Ryde has an active league programme and 2 nationally recognised open tournaments each year.

The complex also offers an 850 capacity nightclub, 'the balcony', overlooking the sea, regularly featuring top name DJ's and offering an eclectic calendar of music genre's throughout the month.

The Riverside Bowl & LaserQuest - Wallasey, Merseyside

The Riverside bowl and Laserquest became the Company's 10th acquisition at the beginning of July 2007.

The Riverside is a truly impressive Centre, built in 2005 by Top Ten Leisure, offering 24 lanes of bowling and an impressive LaserQuest arena with a capacity of up to 30 players.

The Big Apple - Rugby, Warwickshire

This Centre was acquired at the end of July 2007, and is currently the latest addition to the American Amusements stable. The Site was formerly owned by Number 10.

It currently offers 22 lanes of Bowling, however plans have been settled to remove 6 of the lanes to create space for a 24 player LaserQuest arena in the new year, ensuring the site becomes more consistent with the Company's model of providing multi-facility entertainments centres rather than simply bowling facilities.
